Community guidelines.
Short, enforced, and the same for everyone. Violations are not debated — they are actioned.
If you are writing a review
- 01
First-hand experience only
Only review a service you personally used and paid for. Second-hand reports, rumour, or reviews based on what someone else told you are not permitted.
- 02
Be specific and factual
Rate quality, on-time delivery, communication, plagiarism, and value based on what actually happened to you. Vague or emotional content without factual basis will be moderated.
- 03
No paid or incentivised reviews
If you received anything of value — discount, cash, free order, gift — in exchange for your review, you must disclose it. Undisclosed incentivised reviews are a violation and may be reported to the CCPA.
- 04
No personal information
Do not include names, emails, phone numbers, or any personally identifiable information of individuals — yours or anyone else's. We strip suspected PII automatically.
- 05
No competitor promotion
Reviews are not advertising space. Do not name, link to, or promote a competitor of the service you are reviewing.
- 06
No defamatory or illegal content
Reviews must not contain false statements of fact presented as true, threats, obscene content, or content that violates Indian law. Truth is the standard — not just opinion.
If you are a listed business
- 01
Respond, don't attack
Public responses to reviews must be professional, factual, and constructive. Do not threaten, insult, or dox reviewers.
- 02
No review manipulation
Do not solicit, incentivise, or coordinate fake reviews — positive or negative. This includes instructing staff, customers, or third parties to post manipulated content. Violation results in a permanent 'Manipulation Detected' label on your listing.
- 03
No legal threats against reviewers
Using legal threats to silence genuine reviewers is a violation of these guidelines and may itself be reported to consumer authorities. StudyVerdict will not remove a genuine review because of a legal threat.
- 04
Dispute through the process
If you believe a review is factually incorrect, submit a formal dispute through grievance@studyverdict.com with supporting evidence. Do not attempt to contact or pressure the reviewer directly.
What happens when rules are broken
- → Review rejected or removed without notice.
- → Account suspended or permanently banned.
- → Provider listing publicly labelled "Manipulation Detected" — this label is permanent and is not removed upon subscription cancellation.
- → Subscription terminated without refund.
- → Evidence of manipulation shared with the Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA) where warranted.
