StudyVerdict is a commercial platform. We earn revenue. This page tells you exactly how, and exactly what that revenue can and cannot buy.
We publish this disclosure because a review platform that is not transparent about its own economics is not trustworthy. Read this before you trust our ratings.
1. Who Owns and Operates StudyVerdict
StudyVerdict is independently owned and operated. The platform is not owned by, affiliated with, or funded by any assignment-help company, academic institution, or educational publisher. There are no silent investors who are also providers listed on this platform.
The platform operator's contact for conflict-of-interest concerns is: editorial@studyverdict.com
2. Every Revenue Source — Disclosed in Full
The following is a complete list of how StudyVerdict generates revenue. No revenue source is excluded from this disclosure.
2.1 Provider Subscription Fees
This is our primary revenue source. Service providers listed in the StudyVerdict directory may pay a monthly or annual subscription fee for premium features:
- Starter tier: Verified business badge on the listing page; removes the "Unclaimed" warning.
- Growth tier: Inclusion in subject-specific hub pages for improved search discoverability.
- Leads tier: Inclusion in Best-of editorial guides; direct student lead capture form.
- Pro tier: Dedicated service sub-pages, priority indexing, featured placement on subject hubs.
What subscription fees cannot buy: No subscription tier, payment amount, or commercial arrangement of any kind influences the aggregate review score, star rating, sub-score (Quality, On-Time, Communication, Plagiarism-Free, Value), editorial ranking, or moderation decision applied to any review. This is enforced technically: the rating computation pipeline has no access to subscription data.
2.2 No Affiliate Links or Referral Commissions
StudyVerdict does not use affiliate links to provider websites. We do not earn a commission when a student clicks through to a provider's website. The "Visit website" buttons on listing pages are not monetised.
2.3 No Display Advertising (Current)
As of the date of this disclosure, StudyVerdict does not serve display advertisements from ad networks. If this changes, this disclosure will be updated before any advertising goes live.
2.4 No Sponsored Reviews or Paid Editorial Content
StudyVerdict does not publish sponsored reviews, paid-for editorial articles, or advertorial content of any kind. Best-of articles and subject guides are produced independently, based solely on verified review data.
3. Commercial Relationships With Specific Providers
Any provider listed on StudyVerdict may be a paying subscriber. The fact that a provider is a paying subscriber is disclosed on their listing page via the "Verified Subscriber" badge. This badge indicates only that the business owner has verified their identity and chosen a paid plan — it does not indicate editorial endorsement, superior service quality, or any preferential moderation treatment.
We do not have equity stakes, revenue-sharing arrangements, or undisclosed commercial relationships with any listed provider. If any such arrangement were to be created, this disclosure would be updated and a conflict-of-interest notice would be added to the affected provider's listing page.
4. Editorial Decisions and Commercial Pressure
Providers who subscribe to a paid plan gain no ability to:
- Request removal of any verified review
- Request suppression of any review from the aggregate rating calculation
- Receive advance notice of reviews before publication
- Influence the moderation decision applied to any review
- Affect editorial rankings, Best-of inclusions, or subject hub placements except through the published criteria (review count and average rating thresholds)
Providers who cancel their subscription are not penalised editorially. Their rating and review history remain intact on the platform. The "Unclaimed" status is restored.
5. Incentivised and Solicited Reviews
StudyVerdict does not pay, gift, discount, or otherwise incentivise students to leave reviews. Providers are prohibited from incentivising reviews under our Community Guidelines. Any review that discloses an incentive is flagged during moderation; any review where an incentive is suspected but not disclosed is held for manual review.
If we were ever to run a scholarship draw or other programme that could create an incentive to review, the existence of that incentive would be disclosed on the review submission form itself, not merely in these terms — in compliance with FTC guidelines and ASCI rules.
6. Takedown Requests From Providers
Providers — paying or otherwise — may submit a dispute or takedown request for any published review via grievance@studyverdict.com. All such requests are logged in the public audit trail visible at /admin/audit. A paying provider's request receives no procedural advantage over an unpaid provider's request. Reviews are only removed if they violate our Community Guidelines or applicable law — not because of commercial pressure.
7. How to Report a Conflict of Interest
If you believe StudyVerdict has an undisclosed commercial relationship with any provider, or that a rating has been manipulated for commercial reasons, please report it:
- Email: editorial@studyverdict.com
- Subject line: "Conflict of Interest Report"
- We will acknowledge within 72 hours and respond substantively within 14 days.
We will not delete or suppress any report made in good faith, even if it involves a paying subscriber.
8. Updates to This Disclosure
This disclosure is reviewed quarterly and updated whenever a new revenue source, commercial relationship, or material conflict arises. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent substantive change. Cosmetic edits (typos, formatting) do not trigger an update to that date.
